As an operations manager, our days are never the same when at the workplace. Every day there is some new task that we need to take on, or a new problem that needs to be solved. As the operations manager, it is our duty to manage these different tasks to the best of our abilities while still being able to accomplish different projects that are assigned to us.
Powell LA Fitness
As you already know, I originally began my mentorship at the Grove City LA Fitness which is one of the smaller clubs in the Columbus Area. Since it is one of the smaller clubs, it is a little easier to manage. Well, in the beginning of March, my mentor and actual boss thought that I would be the right person to take on a new project. The Powell, Ohio LA Fitness had been without an Operations Manager for quite some time and needed one there desperately. Without the Operations manager there, there were a lot of things that needed to be taken care of for it to be up to the standards of the company. The transition to this gym started off a little rocky but I think I have adjusted well since coming. Here is a list of the things that I needed immediate attention once I became the Operations Manager of the much bigger club:

Basketball league
So, with the original LA Fitness' out in California, there are typically basketball leagues and racquetball leagues that members are able to enter into. Basketball leagues not only provide another amenity available to members, but it also provides something else that we can market to potential new members in order for them to join our club. This would be only the second club in the Columbus area to have a basketball league.
This was a project that I decided to take on myself as I wanted to create a different challenge for myself. Here are some of the tasks that must be completed in order for the league to take off:
